How to Create a Privacy Policy Page

privacy policy

Creating a privacy policy page is just like creating any other page. Use the Content Manager to create a page.

Then in Settings, select the page you created for the Privacy Policy under Key Pages. The privacy policy consent pop-up will appear until the visitor accepts and consent checks boxes will be placed whenever data is being sent to your marketplace.

You can use an online privacy policy generator to create a custom privacy policy for your DMP Shop.

IMPORTANT NOTE: DMP only provides the tools to help you create a privacy policy and make your site comply with online privacy laws. DMP does not provide legal advice. You should contact a legal professional if you have any doubts about compliance.

Buy Domains Page

Buy Domains is a standard fixed page that appears in the top navigation and features advanced domain search options, an exhaustive list of categories, and list of featured domains. However, you have control over custom content and naming of this in addition to the fixed features.

Changing the name of Buy Domains Page Title

You can create a new page with your choice of title and URL. Then select ‘Buy Domains’ from the Add to Preset Page drop-down menu.

Any content you create in the Main Body area will appear above the Advanced Search and Categories. Content in the Footer field will appear below. Once you create your custom page to replace Buy Domains, it will automatically appear in the main top and footer navigation areas. So you don’t need to pin to top or footer navigation. But you may want to pin to sidebar as this is not automatic.

Content Manager

Content Manager allows you to easily create new Web pages and posts using WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) visual editor. You can pin pages to navigation locations (top navigation, second top navigation, sidebar, and/or footer). You can also run a blog with the DMP Content Manager. You can create posts and save them as one of two types: blog or news. If you create a post as either of those, then that option will appear in the navigation. If you create a blog post, then Blog will be displayed in navigation. If you create a news post, then News will be displayed. Why both options? News is ideal for news related items such as press releases. Blog is is ideal for commentary and opinion related items.

Pinning Pages to Navigation

There are 4 navigation areas to help you organize key pages:

  1. Top Navigation – This navigation is the most prominent up on top to the right of the logo.
  2. 2nd Top Navigation – If you don’t have enough room in the top navigation or want to keep it clean with less options, you can delegate pages to 2nd top navigation which will appear in a drop-down menu item labeled “More”.
  3. Side Navigation – On pages, blog and news posts, there is a sidebar where you can pin key pages to.
  4. Footer Navigation – This navigation area is, as you guessed it, in the footer and visible on all pages. It is ideal for containing less visited pages but with important information such as privacy policy, terms of use, etc.

Adding Custom Content to the Home Page

Creating a custom home page with DMP is simple but powerful. You can create a page and use all the available CMS (content management system) tools to create unlimited possibilities for the appearance and content of your home page. You can even add YouTube videos, among other things.

Step 1
You first need to create a page using the CMS tools under Content Manager. You can add formatted text, images, videos, links, tables and more with the text editor.

You can name it something obvious like Home or Home Page.

Step 2
Go to Shop Settings, found in the drop-down menu on the top right hand side.

Then, under Standard Pages, you will find the Home Page drop-down options of created pages. Choose the page for the Home Page and select Submit.
